Title: Innovative INTensive – EXTensive hybrid for wastewater resource recovery in small communities

Contributor: Aqualia

Years: 2018 actualidad

Objective: The LIFE INTEXT project, a European initiative led by Aqualia and in which other companies from different countries also participate. It seeks to combat water scarcity in small communities through the combination of intensive and extensive technologies, which are focused on wastewater treatment and reuse.

Summary:

The project will use intelligent monitoring and control tools that will enable robust operation of the different technologies.

During the development of LIFE INTEXT, two technological platforms will be created at the Talavera de la Reina wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and at the CENTA research centre in Carrión de los Céspedes.

Both locations will develop hybrid technologies for water purification and nutrient recovery in small communities.
